About Me

Kendra Hamilton is a violinist, private instructor, and a middle school orchestra teacher located in upstate South Carolina. Graduating in 2021 from Anderson University, she earned a bachelors in Instrumental Music Education magna cum laude. There, she was honored to receive the 2021 Outstanding Music Educator award. Kendra has been passionate about music from a young age. She loves using her gift to inspire and touch others through teaching and performing.
Kendra has been performing professionally for five years. She has played with various ensembles including the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, and GAMAC ensembles. During her college career, she served as concertmaster for the AU String Ensemble. Kendra performed in the pit orchestra for She Loves Me the musical in 2019 as well as Guys and Dolls in 2023. While she performs in church regularly, she has played for special services at many churches around the area. For six years, she has done lots of gigs with various string trios and quartets, as well as solo work. Kendra has taught private lessons for eight years and middle school orchestra for two. She has taught students of all ages and believes every one of her students can succeed no matter what. A couple of them have made auditioned orchestras such as All-County, All-Region, All-State, and made it into the SC Governor's School summer programs. When not in the classroom or on stage, Kendra enjoys spending time with family, crafting, and hanging out with friends. She also loves animals, chocolate, fall weather, and shopping. Teaching and performing are important to Kendra and she could not imagine doing anything else.
